A WATCHDOG may be launched to offer North East businesses a way of finding a dependable way of running a web site.

The Federation of Media Development Businesses (FMDC) may be launched in Middlesbrough after an growing quantity of firms complained of becoming taken advantage of by internet designers.

The aim with the FMDC is to be the lead regulator for businesses providing providers like web design and hosting, and enable them to sign up to a charter which proves that they are a reliable firm.
